| There was some debate about having three Kirchentage in successive years - 2009 (Bremen), Munich (2010) and Dresden (2011). There is a risk that fewer participants may attend three in succession, but the International Committee felt that the greater risk would be to postpone the 2011 Kirchentag until 2013, with a three-year gap in between. |
